Terms of Service

Welcome to Options Insights ("we," "us," "the platform"). By creating an account and using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Beta Program Terms

Options Insights is currently in closed beta. This means:

• Features may change, be removed, or be temporarily unavailable without notice.
• Beta access is free for up to 60 days from the date you create your account.
• No credit card is required during the beta period.
• Before your beta period ends, you will receive advance notice with details about subscription options.
• If you choose not to subscribe after the beta period, your account will be deactivated. You may request data deletion at any time (see Section 5).

2. Data Handling and Security

We take the security of your financial data seriously.

• Your TastyTrade trade history, positions, and account metadata are fetched from TastyTrade's API and stored in our database.
• All data is encrypted at rest. Your TastyTrade credentials and any API keys you provide are encrypted using field-level encryption (AES-256) before storage.
• Our database uses Row Level Security (RLS), which means your data is scoped to your user account at the database level. No other user can access your data through the application.
• All connections use TLS (HTTPS) for encryption in transit.

3. TastyTrade API Access

To provide analytics, we connect to the TastyTrade API via OAuth 2.0 authorization.

• You authorize access through TastyTrade's own OAuth page. We never see or store your TastyTrade password.
• We store only the OAuth access token and refresh token, both encrypted at rest.
• We access your TastyTrade account with read-only permissions. We fetch transactions, positions, and account metadata.
• We never place orders, modify positions, or make any changes to your TastyTrade account.
• You can revoke our OAuth access at any time from your account settings or directly from your TastyTrade account.

4. Limitation of Liability

• Options Insights is beta software. It is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
• Options Insights is an analytical tool only. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals.
• We are not liable for any trading decisions you make based on data, analytics, or insights displayed on this platform.
• We are not responsible for inaccuracies in data sourced from third-party APIs, including TastyTrade and Databento.
• In no event shall Options Insights be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service.

5. Account Termination and Data Deletion

• You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
• Upon deletion, all your data — trade history, positions, analytics, stored credentials, and query history — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
• We may terminate or suspend beta access for users who violate these terms or who use the platform in ways that are harmful to other users or our infrastructure.
• To request data deletion without deleting your account, email support@optionsinsights.io.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms during the beta period. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
